Bobby Cameron Live at Festival Place is a fundraiser to support and invest in visual and performing artists as well as the youth of Strathcona County with grants, advocacy, and scholarships, proudly sponsored by Clean Dry Professional Carpet & Upholstery Care.

Bobby Cameron is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist hailing from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Influenced by rock-and-roll and blues legends like Matt Minglewood and Dutch Mason, he relocated to Edmonton in the 1980s to further his musical career. In 1990, Cameron gained national recognition by winning the MuchMusic Guitar Warz competition, leading to performances with Jeff Healey. Transitioning from guitarist to songwriter, he released his self-titled debut album in 1994, produced by Randy Staub, featuring singles “Human Fortress” and “If I Wait For You.” His subsequent albums include “Drowning on Dry Land” (1999) and “Emotional Drift” (2003), the latter earning him a finalist spot in the Americana category of the ISC International Songwriting Competition. Cameron has collaborated with notable artists such as Luke McMaster, Stan Meissner, Daryl Burgess, and John Capek. His song “Just A Moment,” co-written with Jully Black and Keith Harris, was featured on Black’s Juno-winning album “Reunion.” He has also toured with blues legend Long John Baldry and shared stages with artists like Chris De Burgh, Colin James, and members of The Rolling Stones. Despite his success, Cameron remains grounded in Edmonton, balancing his music career with family life and contributing to the local music community.
