FPCAF Is Looking for New Board Members

The Festival Place Cultural Arts Foundation (FPCAF) is currently seeking enthusiastic community members to join our Board of Directors.

FPCAF is dedicated to supporting visual and performing artists through grants and scholarships, with a strong focus on youth in Strathcona County. Each year, we fundraise through three signature events, with all proceeds directed toward helping young people pursue their creative passions and build meaningful futures in the arts.

Our board is a working board, meaning directors play an active role in fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement. The board currently includes 14 directors, and our bylaws allow for up to 17 directors, creating an exciting opportunity to welcome new voices, perspectives, and skill sets.

As a board member, you will:

  • Help raise awareness of FPCAF and its impact in the community
  • Support fundraising events that directly benefit local artists and youth
  • Contribute to the growth and sustainability of arts and culture in Strathcona County
  • Be part of a collaborative, passionate group of arts advocates

Appointed directors will serve a short initial term (until our next Annual General Meeting). At that time, directors are welcome to submit their name for formal election to the board.

Why Join FPCAF?

Joining the Festival Place Cultural Arts Foundation Board is an opportunity to make a real, lasting impact in your community.

As a board member, you will:

  • Help champion visual and performing artists in Strathcona County

  • Play a direct role in funding grants and scholarships for youth, helping young people pursue education, training, and careers in the arts

  • Be part of a passionate, collaborative team that brings three major fundraising events to life each year

  • Expand your professional network while gaining hands-on experience in governance, fundraising, and community leadership

  • Contribute to the growth, visibility, and sustainability of arts and culture in Strathcona County

Most importantly, you’ll see the tangible impact of your efforts—meeting artists, supporting emerging talent, and knowing your time and energy are helping creativity thrive locally.
